Meet the CEPF Officers
We
here at CEPF would like to take the time to introduce ourselves. Here
we will provide you with short bios on the Church's Board of Directors,
office staff, and Public Relations Department. We hope this helps you
get to know us a little better, just as we look forward to getting to
know more of you.
Board of Directors
Rev. David C. Andrews
President
Senior Pastor
Founder of the Church of Eclectic Pagan Fellowship
Born
June 15, 1963, Rev. Andrews started life in a small town in Ohio as the
youngest of eight children. Due to unknown reasons, Rev. Andrews and
his siblings were permanently removed from their home when he was
two-years-old. He and one sister were placed in an orphanage where he
spent two years before being adopted. At the age of five, he and his
new family moved to Maryland.
Enduring a difficult childhood due to an abusive
adoptive father, Rev. Andrews nevertheless was encouraged to explore
his own spiritual path. He attended Sunday school, was an average
student, and yet challenged authority. At fourteen, he was sent to
military school where he attempted to take his own life, after which he
was sent to one institution after another. During this time, Rev.
Andrews "found Jesus" and became a Born Again Christian.
Also during this time, a growing interest in the
occult was also flourishing. He held interests in astrology,
numerology, and even read the Satanic Bible.
Between the years of 1981 to 1988, Rev. Andrews
bounced back and forth between Christianity and other spiritual paths.
He attended some college majoring in Mass Communications, deejaying and
being Program Director for the college radio station, and became the
Public Relations Chairman for the local chapter of the Young
Republicans.
During these years, Rev. Andrews met his first Pagan
mentor. He was tutored in Eclectic Wicca and was encouraged to follow
his own instincts in regards to his spirituality. He studied works on
the Golden Dawn and Wicca, read books by Raymond Buckland and Scott
Cunningham, and read such works as the "Necronomicon" eventually
choosing to follow the Pagan path.
After his mentor's death from bone marrow cancer in
1991, Rev. Andrews roamed the U.S. before returning to Maryland in 1994
to help care for a dying friend. In 1997, he met his wife, Heidi, and
they were married in a small courthouse ceremony on September 5 of that
year. They have two children, a boy and a girl, born in 1999 and 2001
respectively.
In February of 2004, both Rev. Andrews and his wife
became ordained through the Universal Life Church. Together, with
another local Pagan minister, they founded the Church of Eclectic Pagan
Fellowship - ULC on April 7, 2004. Rev. Andrews now chooses to follow
the path of the Eclectic Pagan, trying to help those with questions or
in need of advice. He believes all religions are valid and coined the
Church's motto, "Many paths...one goal."

Vice President
Asst. Senior Pastor
Co-Founder of the Church of Eclectic Pagan Fellowship
Greetings. I
am Rev. Heidi Andrews. I am the Vice President and Asst. Senior Pastor
of CEPF. I was born in 1979, and, in 1997, I married Rev. David
Andrews. I am the mother of two children, a boy and a girl. I have
lived on Maryland's Eastern Shore almost my entire life.
I grew up in
proverbial "Smalltown, USA." I was never 'introduced' to religion as a
child. I stumbled across a few churches in my youth, but it didn't take
me long to figure out that I did not fit in with the mainstream church.
In school, I was well-behaved, got good grades, and had a small
tight-knit circle of friends.
At age 12, after
marital difficulties almost ended in divorce, my parents moved us to an
even smaller town and 'found' religion. Despite their efforts, they
could not convince me to attend church with them. I was still convinced
that mainstream religion was not for me.
Around the time I
entered high school, a new world started opening up for me. I met new
people and discovered new ideas and ways of thinking that meshed with
my own theories. Around the ages of 16 to 17, I began to do quiet
research and was soon skirting the borders of Paganism and witchcraft.
In 1996, I met
David, though, at the time, I had no idea what his beliefs were, nor he
mine. We lost track of each other for a year. I began my senior year of
high school and had much on my mind. I was still interested in
Paganism, but I was busy with tests, research projects, and working a
part-time job.
After I graduated,
David came back into my life. He began sharing his beliefs with me.
About three weeks later found us living together, and in September
1997, we were married.
Since about 1996, I
have studied many different Pagan subjects. I started with probably the
most well-known, Wicca. I have also studied Dragon Magick, Faery
Magick, Witchcraft, some Natural Magick, and much, much more. I
consider myself an Eclectic Pagan in the true sense of the word. In
2004, Dave and I, along with another acquaintance, developed and
finalized the concept of CEPF. I am currently the webmistress for the
Church's website.
